Caring for your eyes

Many eye conditions can be developing without you having any visual symptoms or signs on your eyes. When it comes to your eyes, picking issues up early is crucial. You should get your eyes tested at least every 2 years.

Private eye tests

Our private eye tests are FREE due to our current promotion.

Our optometrist will carry out a full thorough eye examination meticulously examining your eye health and vision.

NHS services available

FREE NHS funded eye tests are available here at Waltham Eyes.

NHS optical vouchers whether given from us or brought from another opticians’ can be used to purchase glasses or contact lenses at our store.

Fear not, the OCT is here
Invest in your eye health

The OCT scan uses light waves to take a 3-dimensional image of your retina.  The light waves are completely harmless and both eyes are scanned in under 3 minutes. The machine does not touch your eyes and is painless.

Here at Waltham Eyes when you do multiple OCT scans over the years, we will be able to do progression analysis. This is a process of comparisons of the scans that picks up on the smallest of subtle changes. This will allow many eye diseases to be picked up well before they do any damage to your eye health and vision, as treatment and management will start earlier.

Some eye conditions an OCT can pick up at an early stage are glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and optic disc disorders.

At Waltham Eyes we believe that the community deserve the best in eye care. A scan that can potentially save a persons sight should be at no cost.

The OCT scan is FREE at our store.
